Over the last several years, Nashville has been growing at an unprecedented rate. With that growth is a heightened need for substance use disorder treatment. As a result, we are now undergoing our largest growth with a transformative expansion that will double our capacity to impact the lives of those battling substance use disorder in Tennessee. By constructing a new five-story treatment facility on our campus, we are more than doubling our capacity from 56 beds to 130 beds.
While our building is fully paid for thanks to partnerships with local real estate firms, we are fundraising outside of traditional state grants to provide more robust staffing, apartment furnishings, educational resources, ongoing mental health care, employment, housing, and continuous support to our patients. These additions are not covered by government support. Without philanthropic support, we will struggle significantly to offer these additional vital services. Samaritan's main focus is to provide long-term support for clients who need the time, encouragement, and educational resources to build a new life free from addiction, incarceration, and other limiting factors.
