Mission
The mission of Healing Hands International is to aid, equip and empower those in need around the world in the name of Jesus Christ so they might experience God's healing grace.
Background
Healing Hands International began at Lipscomb University in 1991 with a student campaign for medical supplies for Eastern Europe. Since that time, HHI has distributed $85,000,000 in aid to 75 countries. Healing Hands drills approximately 100 water wells annually, providing clean water for 350,000 people. Each year, twenty full and part-time trainers teach survival gardening and food preservation to 40,000 people, who in turn teach others. Since its beginning, more than 200,000 MAGI boxes have been distributed to children in Honduras, Mexico and Zambia. Helping women in need, HHI has hosted Christian Business Women's conferences in India, Mozambique, Haiti, Ghana, and Tanzania. Medical shipments are sent to as many as 15 nations. Aid is done without discrimination and doors are opened for sharing the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Impact
Accomplishments in 2019: 1. We drilled 65 clean water wells, restored 174 water wells and hosted 47 Walk4Water events. 2. We hosted 107 workshops in countries throughout the world training over 6,000 people in sustainable agriculture methods, empowering them to feed themselves, family and others. Since its beginning, the program has conducted over 751 workshops in 36 countries training more than 38,000 individuals firsthand. 3. With the help of church groups, schools and individuals we packed and sent over 26,000 M.A.G.I. boxes to Honduras, Texas/Mexico border, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Zambia making a godly impact. Goals for 2020: 1. Strengthen and expand our drilling operation that will provide clean drinking water to people in need. Areas we want to expand relief in are Haiti, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and India. 2. Continue providing a water well repair team in Haiti to care for the wells. 3. Conduct 100 sustainable agriculture workshops, training more than 5,000 people. 4. Expand our MAGI program to include at least one additional international country. 5. Grow and mature our base of financial support.
