FMRP provides access to green space and outdoor education, recreation, conservation, and entertainment for the people who live, work, and play in Southeast Davidson County.
Program Successes
Children exposed to park experiences for the first time. Families gathering for celebrations in greenspace that is close to home. Adults gaining an appreciation for sustainable practices. Kids and adults identifying local trees and birds with the instruction from subject experts. Planting and tending to an orchard of 100+ fruit trees that will produce increase the community access to healthy food, air, and water. Miles of trails improved and hiked by community members who historically lacked nearby nature trails.
