These items include but are not limited to beds, clothing, car seats, pack 'n plays, hygiene items, diapers, formula, school supplies, and food.

Long-term Success
The long-term success of the FosterLove program is rooted in the belief that meeting the basic needs of children, families, foster families, and aged-out youth is essential to fostering stability, resilience, and growth. By consistently providing essential items, the program helps preserve families by reducing stress and preventing crises, allowing them to take the next right step. For foster families, meeting these needs promotes retention by alleviating some of the financial and emotional burdens of caregiving. For youth aging out of the foster care system, providing support as they transition to independence helps ensure they have the resources they need to succeed. Ultimately, meeting basic needs creates a foundation for long-term stability, helping children and families flourish while strengthening the foster care community as a whole.
Short-term Success
In the short term, the FosterLove program helps preserve families and support foster families by meeting basic needs, reducing stress, and preventing crises. This immediate assistance allows families to remain stable and helps foster families continue their caregiving without the added financial and emotional burdens. Additionally, for youth aging out of foster care, providing essential items ensures they have the resources needed to successfully transition to independence. By addressing these critical needs, FosterLove promotes stability and retention within the foster care system, laying the groundwork for long-term success.

Our website features a submission form that agencies can fill out to request support. This form helps us track key data, including the number of children served, their ages, the counties they reside in, and the number of items distributed through purchases or donations. It also helps us identify the primary purpose of the assistance-whether for foster families, family reunification, family preservation, kinship homes, DCS offices or safe houses, or Extension of Foster Care youth. Additionally, we track the number of TAK PAKS donated and distributed. The agencies we work with also provide reports or testimonies detailing how our services have made a positive impact.

TAK PAKS are backpacks filled with items of comfort or necessity for children and youth coming into foster care. Children and youth who enter foster care are usually taken quickly from their homes and without time to choose any personal items. During this time of uncertainty their first foster home usually is not their last home. As they move from place to place we long to bring comfort and a sense of belonging to these children by providing TAK PAKS.
