Description
Hispanic Family Foundation's Robotix Program encourages children ages 11-14 to explore their creative and scientific sides. In partnership with the FBI, we provide a seasonal Robotix camp several times a year. Each session culminates in a visit from the FBI's robot lab. Children get the chance to learn how the FBI uses their robots to solve crimes, diffuse bombs, and other functions to serve and protect. This is a part of our STEAM program.
Program Successes
The students who have participated n he Robotix program have manintained a B and abve average in their classes, parents report a greater interest in STEAM activities and interests, and a greater attendance at school. Every child that has enrolled in the Robotix workshops has returned to the next level course and participated in the FBI show and tell.

The Little Sprouts Program serves pregnant women in the immigrant community, primarily Hispanic or Latino. The participants in this program are underserved and under resourced women who cannot afford diapers and basic baby necessities for daily living. Participants come to HFF once a month for a supply of diapers, baby food, formula, and other necessities while they get on their feet or are able to provide for their families after taking time off to give birth. Women stay in the program for a maximum of 4 months to help them adjust to motherhood and assist their family resources.

Baila's mission is to uncover and diminish difficulties that confront Hispanic children, youth, and adults living in Tennessee by increasing self-esteem and promoting values for healthy living. With this mission at the forefront, Baila strives to offer a wide variety of free and reduced-rate classes in both Spanish and English. Currently, the studio offers Flamenco, Ballet, Kung-Fu, Cardio Fitness, Yoga, and Mexican Folklore classes to over 230 students of all ages. Baila offers classes in 4-month cycles in the Spring and Fall of each year. The students wrap up each cycle with a recital that showcases their new talents and growth in Plaza Mariachi Music City.
