| Our goal with Resurgence is to ensure that our governance aligns with our mission and vision. We also understand that with better governance comes better performance. Our challenges with our organization's governance are also our opportunities: - Diversity: Currently, the makeup of our board is 100% female, while the makeup of the population we serve is majority male. This has motivated us to seek more gender diversity amongst our board. The addition of the male perspective can only add to the value of the curriculum that we facilitate, enabling us to have a further reach. Additionally, we also believe it is important to include our clients' perspectives. As such, there is an opportunity for us to include a member of the population we serve on our board. This will also provide key representation to help move our organization forward. |
