Description
Nations Ministry Center in May 2013 was recognized by the Department of Justice to provide immigration services . Our services focus on helping refugees become US citizens. They must initially become green card holders and then later are eligible for citizenship. We assist with all filings with the government, provide citizenship exam preparation, offer naturalization interview coaching, and follow through with applicants to help their children become citizens. In 2019, a second staff member received accreditation, and we served over 375 clients with immigration needs. We also launched naturalization interview coaching classes in late 2091.

Nations Ministry Center provides extensive literacy-based programming for school-aged immigrants and refugees. Summer Academy helps refugee children learn English and improve their reading ability. Our after-school program provides intensive literacy support and homework help for refugee children in south Nashville. We are also a NAZA partner for 2019-2020 and partner with the United Way and the Tusculum Family Resource Center. Our goal is to help every child obtain and sustain a fifth-grade reading level.

We connect school age children to successful schools, provide homework assistance and individualized tutoring, and a summer reading intensive. We offer a trauma-informed environment which promotes social-emotional development. We provide immigration services and offer Path to Citizenship services. We improve the quality of life for refugee elders. And we celebrate every success. |
