CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
Under new leadership, we have undergone careful, intentional growth in 2019. Not only have we expanded the wrap-around services offered to our vendors in a direct response to their most crucial needs, we have also begun to add staff to our payroll and build up our cash reserves. The latter has allowed us to be prepared to respond to unforeseen events, such as the recent tornado and the COVID-19 virus impact that hit many Contributor vendors hard. However, it is important to note that this has not resulted in a reduction in programmatic spending for our vendor force. In fact, more of our money is going to programs this year than to administrative costs. We are poised to continue to respond to the pandemic as we have a cash reserve and low flexible overhead. Putting income in our vendors pockets and directly giving them financial assistance in this time of chaos is the number one priority. |
