Description
We operate The Tennessee Regional Center in Nashville, TN, established in November 2016. The Center's vision is to live in a world free from slavery. Hope for Justice is the only not-for-profit organization in Tennessee equipped to investigate independently or with law enforcement to identify and rescue victims of human trafficking. In 2023, we received 47 referrals in Tennessee alone for our investigator assistance. In 2023, we built out a small survivor services program under a grant from the Department of Justice comprising a Program Lead and an Advocacy and Outreach Specialist. This program works with survivors of trafficking, ensuring the survivors' voices are heard and that they are empowered to make informed, meaningful decisions. We build a collaborative relationship with the survivor, clearly explaining relevant legal and technical language. This enables the survivors to make informed decisions as they navigate complex pathways and situations.

Description
Headquartered in Nashville, TN, we operate three Regional Investigative Centers across the U.S., established in 2016. The Center's vision is to live in a world free from slavery. One of the primary ways this is achieved is by rescuing and recovering as many victims as possible and enabling others to do so. Hope for Justice is the only not-for-profit organization in the U.S. equipped to investigate independently or with law enforcement to identify and rescue victims of human trafficking. Since its launch, over 1,000 referrals and cases have been referred to the Investigative Center, with over half of those developing into active investigations, resulting in nearly 200 trafficking victims recovered. A majority of all cases had been accepted for federal prosecution. Since 2017 we have trained over 45,000 frontline professionals who are likely to come into contact with victims of human trafficking, often without realizing it. We have relationships with hundreds of law enforcement agencies.
