CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
New Dialect's ability to provide programming-and thereby earn income-has been significantly challenged by the COVID-19 heath crisis. In response, operational expenses were strategically decreased during FY21, largely through a decrease in professional fees. Simultaneously, our organization was able to secure emergency financial support via municipal, state, and federal funding programs, while annual contributions remained at or near pre-pandemic levels. As a result, we closed FY21and FY22 in strong financial standing with net cash reserves. These funds continue to provide a firm footing for our organization to build our programming back up to pre-pandemic strength as restrictions ease going forward, and we return to performing and touring in FY23. New Dialect continues to have no debt. |
Foundation Staff Comments
Financial figures taken from the Form 990, which was prepared internally by the nonprofit. In some years, foundation and corporate grants may be included in Contributions, Gifts, and Grants sum, as these amounts are not separated in Form 990. Comments provided by Nicole Rose 06/11/2024. |
