CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

Council formed a committee on Governance to improve the level of performance by individual members of Council. This committee has created a detailed handbook and redrawn many of the processes and functions of the Council. For example, orientation is now a more rapid, thorough, and engaging process coordinated by Council itself with the assistance of the CEO. At the same time, Council is working closely with the Leadership Nominating Committee to improve the selection process of candidates each year to provide a more functional range of skills and experiences for the board and to increase the diversity and inclusiveness (race/ethnicity, gender, age, geographic, etc.) of the Council and all the organization's programs.
