Mission
The mission of Clarksville Soccer Club (CSC) is to develop youth to reach their fullest potential both on the field and in life.
Background
Clarksville Soccer Club (CSC) was founded in 2014 when Royals FC and Fusion FC merged to consolidate resources and talent in order to significantly enhance playing-and-training experiences for local athletes. CSC has experienced significant growth since 2016 and currently has a total of 349 registered players for the 2020-2021 season.
CSC offers four community programs:
1) The Player Development Program (PDP) for ages under 5 through under 10 years old (U5-U10) is a cornerstone to introduce younger athletes to the game of soccer, help foster a love of the game and enhance individual character and leadership development. This program operates in three 6-week segments: fall, winter, and spring;
2) Competitive soccer for boys and girls teams U8-U12 and U13-19 for competition both within the State of Tennessee and surrounding states;
3) CSC's need-based financial assistance program, which provides access to soccer, leadership, and character development opportunities to youth from families of all socioeconomic backgrounds;
4) Community Service projects: CSC is committed to fostering a passion in its athletes to volunteering to help better the community.
Clarksville Soccer Club boasts an outstanding coaching staff that cares immensely for the development of its athletes as soccer players, and, most importantly, as teammates and individuals both on the pitch and in life. Teams are led by licensed-and-professional coaches who meet the United States Soccer Federation's guidelines for coaching licensure. CSC coaches are continuously developing professionally through training, experience, and incremental coaching certifications. The coaching staff aims to improve the game, improve the health of the athlete and improve our community as a team.
CSC currently plays at two locations: Heritage Park and Lifepoint Church. Heritage Park is owned by the city of Clarksville and Lifepoint Church offers a field CSC has developed on the property of a local church.
Impact
1) CSC is committed to fostering a passion in its athletes to volunteering to help better the community.
One of the first initiatives CSC set in motion in the Spring of 2017 was kids' participation in community service projects. Under the guidance of their coach, all CSC teams select and run an individual project. This is a wonderful opportunity for the athletes to learn the importance of contributing and giving back to the Clarksville community, as well as positively impacting the people within it. For all coaches, their time spent on each project is a pro-bono commitment. While CSC has the ambition to help foster a love of soccer and competitive play, having the platform to instill a love for the community is equally important and rewarding for the Club's membership.
Clarksville Soccer Club envisions gaining access to additional facilities in the near future so the club can be a centralized community hub for additional community service projects, such as Toys for Tots, clothes drives, food drives, Christmas tree ornaments sponsoring families in need, and hosting community festivities including Holiday parties and year-end celebrations.
2) CSC strives to produce high caliber soccer players, as strong character development is an important trait which CSC can instill in the young men and women who are club members. CSC recognizes the great potential of the game of soccer beyond athletic skill development and competition. It is also a powerful vehicle to teach children valuable life lessons and give back to the community.
The club has established financial-aid opportunities to assist with these goals to ensure that any deserving player is offered access to the development opportunities the Club has to offer. During the 2019-2020 season, of the 525 registered members, 14% of the players were Financial-Aid participants totaling $58,250 of total aid. For the 2020-2021 season, of the 349 club players 43 received financial aid (12,5%), totaling $44,290 of total aid.
It is CSC's goal to have the capacity to satisfy the requests of all financial-aid applicants in order to fully enable all who seek to participate in membership and competitive-and-travel soccer play.
3) CSC's teams compete in the Tennessee State Soccer League as they travel to tournaments and showcases throughout Tennessee and nearby states. These teams are led by Licensed and professional coaches who meet the United States Soccer Federation licensing requirements. In Clarksville Soccer Club's young history the competitive soccer teams already achieved success. Teams have played in all levels of the Tennessee State League (D1, D2, D3) and have been finalists at each level. Several CSC alumni have gone on to compete at the NCAA Division 1 level.
Needs
Clarksville Soccer Club has a clear vision for the future of its club, initially laid out as a 3-year growth plan.
3 Year Statement of Need: $3,350,000
2020 - 2021:
Financial-aid Program ($50,000) and Coaching Education ($50,000)
-Have all financial-aid applicants receive the funding that would enable them to participate in competitive-and-travel play.
-Provide continuing professional education opportunities for CSC's licensed coaches is key to positive soccer experiences and positive results at every level.
2021 - 2022:
Land Acquisition ($250,000)
-Acquire property for the development of local outdoor soccer fields and an indoor facility to allow for year-round league play and training opportunities for players and coaches alike.
2022 - 2023:
Indoor Facility Development ($3,000,000)
-Build a multi-sport indoor turf facility (dome) that will enable Clarksville Soccer Club to conduct summer and winter training and league play within its own community. Today's needs of CSC's programs exceed current playing-time opportunities at Heritage Park and Lifepoint Church.
-Provide space to host multiple arrays of events not only for the club but for the community at large.
The 3-year timeline described here is stage 1 of a larger soccer complex vision.

"It has been rewarding watching the Clarksville Soccer Club evolve over the last 3 years. Watching our teams complete community service projects - selected and implemented by the players - has been something extremely meaningful to me personally. Having had the opportunity to be involved in the game of soccer in a number of capacities, I think one of the most impactful for me is to see our players commit to helping others and giving back. The club has fostered a CSC Family mentality and seeing everyone come together to support each other inspires me every day. Soccer is merely the vehicle for those of us who are lucky enough to call it a job, to help positively impact the lives of our young athletes."

Board Chair Statement
"The Clarksville Soccer Club believes every boy and girl in the Clarksville - Hopkinsville - Fort Campbell area should have the opportunity to play competitive soccer regardless of their family's financial resources. This led the club to establish a needs-based Financial Aid program that provides financial assistance for those players who could not play competitive soccer otherwise. Over the past three years, CSC has provided almost $150,000 in financial aid for registration fees, club fees, and uniforms to the families in our area so their children can follow their passion and play soccer at this competitive level. As our club continues to grow and represent the greater Clarksville community, we look forward to providing families the financial resources they need so their sons and daughters can be part of the sport we love."
