| Alicia's Experience: Alicia R. Horst began her work as Executive Director of Mid-South Immigration Advocates in November of 2021. Ms Horst grew up in Sicily, Italy, which has always been a crossroads for people moving through the Mediterranean region. She moved to the United States for high school and learned to study in English. She earned a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Divinity. Ms Horst's professional work has been mostly conducted in a bilingual capacity in both public and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of NewBridges Immigrant Resource Center in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for 12 years, where she started their Immigration Legal Program and became a DOJ partially Accredited Representative. |
