Mission
We exist to effect ongoing restoration through the "Power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Background
Our non-profit was created in 2007 to provide chaplains services to the encarcerated and staff at the Maury County Jail. Over the years the Chaplains have expanded it's role in providing needed Biblical education, practical life skills, and transitional support that greatly reduces recidivism for the inmates that participate.
Impact
The impact we are looking to make is to change the inmates and their families by the power of Jesus Christ and His Word. The two big impacts are to make sure they are trusting the Lord Jesus Christ for eternal salvation and to help them to never come back to jail.
In order to do that, we need to help them with the things they struggle with and the things that bring them back to jail.
We provide mentors, classes and training to address those issues.
We provide chaplains and mentors for them when they are released to keep them on the straight and narrow. We also work with their families with their relationships, addictions, marriages and child rearing.
Needs
The needs we have are very simple, we need financial support. We have good dedicated chaplains and mentors that would love to be full-time chaplains if we had the funds to hire them. There are 368 beds at the Maury County Jail and many times we are at or even over capacity. There is so much more we could do for them with the finances to hire the people to help them when they are in jail and to help them when they are released.
Board Chair Statement
I am very proud of the work our chaplains and volunteers do at the Maury County Jail. They first are friends to the incarcerated and to the correction officers. Their acts of service demonstrates the Love of Christ. We are truly blessed to be a part of this work.
