Mission

We prepare 8th grade, high school, and college students and student-athletes to go to college, graduate with a college degree, and start a professional career that they love and can use to be impactful in their community.

Background

We have helped numerous student-athletes reach their goal of playing a college sport. But more importantly, we focus on off the court/field skills to help these student-athletes be successful in the classroom and campus. Almost all college athletes are skilled enough to play at the college level, but where they run into trouble is when they are away from sports. We want to make sure collegiate student-athletes are succeeding academically, socially, emotionally , and athletically.

Impact

In the last year, Next Level Skills has:

* Sent 11 Student-Athletes to Play at the College Level on Scholarship
* Had 17 Student-Athletes go to College and Only 1 Dropped Out.
* 100% of Our Students Currently in College have Financial Aid

This Current Year, Next Level Skills is Striving to:

* Aim for 0 Students Dropping out of College
* Make Sure All 9 College Seniors Graduate this Spring
* Help the 9 Current High Seniors Secure College Athletic Offers and Build Strong Financial Aid Packages

Needs

Next Level Skills College Prep and Recruiting Needs Consist of:

* Funds for Programming - Programming consist of college prep and recruiting classes, college visits, professional mentoring, community service, financial literacy, resume writing, interview etiquette , formal dressing, formal dinner ettiequte, college survival. For a full year, this programming costs around $5,000. But with all other costs as well that help us run the program like equipment, software, salaries, marketing and event costs; the total for the year comes to around $23,000.

* Service Opportunities - It is part of the programming to take the student-athletes to do community service. I am looking for 2 organizations to partner with to bring student-athletes to help with whatever they need help with.

* Community Partners - I am looking for 3-4 local businesses to partner with to be part of the "3.5 and Up Club". The parters would give a perk to student-athletes from the program that have over a 3.5 GPA.

* Legal Counsel - I am still in need of a non-profit lawyer. Funds and references are needed.

* Grant Writing Services - We would like to hire a grant writer to obtain grants for the program.
