Mission

The mission of Faith Enrichment Center, Inc. is to strengthen family and community by connecting youth and families with educational, functional, and other resources to create lasting change within the community.

Background

Faith Enrichment Center was founded in 2019 as a unique childcare center that focused on the needs of the at-risk. As children were enrolled, the families were provided with resources and support to help them reach financial, social, and emotional sustainability. However, in 2021, as the board became more aware of the depth of community need, they decided to expand their mission to develop programs that would focus on at-risk teens as well as young adults. It was then that Faith became the holistic program that it is today.

With a strong commitment to finding hands-on training and employment opportunities, Faith Enrichment Center adopted its new approach in which volunteer mentors are recruited to work with clients to help them reach their goals. Having mentors allows for specific needs and concerns to be addressed and it allows for targeted growth and development.

We are proud of the work that we do and hope you will take a moment to review our updated mission statement, as well as our impact statement. We are working hard to make a real difference in the lives of at-risk teens and young adults. We are very excited about the potential that this new approach has to serve even more people in our community.

Impact

Faith Enrichment Center currently serves 1700 individuals annually. This number includes youth connected to employment opportunities, families connected with financial resources and support, meals prepared by youth enrollees and the homeless population who are the recipients of the youth prepared meals.

Needs

Faith is currently in need of volunteer mentors that will work with our youth and families.

CEO Statement

Built on the principle that we are all interconnected, the Faith Enrichment team strives to encourage youth and families by reaching them where they are. As we learn more about the needs of our community members, our program implements new programs to help meet those needs. Throughout our history, we have worked to be a fresh voice amidst the monotony of voices that say there is no hope. And rather than allowing our families to focus on the naysayers, we stand as a beacon of hope and positivity to draw families out of the dry places and into a place where they can stand fast in self-sufficiency. We believe that everyone can improve their outcomes with the right catalyst. Our team works diligently to ensure that each of our clients is connected to their spark of hope by way of mentorship and continued coaching and encouragement. In short, Faith lights the way.
