David's Experience: David Greider, M.B.A., is a mission-driven leader who has built his career developing a unique knowledge set in nonprofit management, community engagement, event development, board governance, team building, and partnerships. For 18 years, David has helped organizations transition, innovate, and grow. As of September 16, 2024, David has taken the role of inaugural Executive Director for the Preservation Society of Nashville (PSN). PSN's mission is to protect and champion Nashville's unique stories, neighborhoods, and architecture through education, advocacy, and historic preservation. Prior to PSN, David founded Orange Oak Nonprofit Management in early 2023. In the role of lead principal, he has guided nonprofits, foundations, and associations to convert times of change into foundation points for positive transformation. Partnering with his clients, he provided management solutions, strategy planning, and governance advisory. Prior to Orange Oak, David held leadership positions with the Center for Nonprofit Management, Nashville Health Care Council, and Digital Medicine Society. As a member of senior leadership, he has managed board of directors and committees, guided strategic planning, directed national conferences, identified, hired and coached leaders for key roles, created international partnerships, and identified brand expansion and new revenue opportunities. From local nonprofits to global networks, David has built relationships with F500 C-suite executives and other high-profile leaders throughout the nonprofit community, business, and government sectors, making purposeful connections that fostered partnership and collaboration. David has called Nashville, TN home for nearly 25 years, where he resides with his wife, daughter, and Blue Heeler pup. He received his B.A. from Tennessee State University and his M.B.A. from Lipscomb University with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. He is a 2012 Nashville Emerging Leaders Alumni. |
