Mission

St. Luke's creates a community where children, families, and seniors from different backgrounds can easily access the resources needed to live fulfilling lives.

Background

St. Luke's Community House empowers children, families and seniors to live fulfilling lives by providing access to food, childcare, case management and wraparound services.

St. Luke's serves children, families and seniors from diverse backgrounds and puts them on a path for a better future. In our rich 100+ year history, St. Luke's has continually responded to the needs of the community and has evolved into a place where residents from across Davidson County can access multiple services under one roof. We feed hungry individuals and families through our Food Pantry and Mobile Meals programs. We help prevent and end family homelessness and disrupt cycles of poverty through the work of our Family Empowerment Program. Our diverse Child Development Center prioritizes the needs of low-income families who cannot afford the rising costs of childcare, while providing a literacy-rich education to 120+ students daily. We also offer seasonal programs, such as free tax preparation and holiday support, to further enrich the lives of people in our community.

Impact

St. Luke's doors are open to anyone in need in Davidson County. We serve children, seniors, individuals, and families from socio-economically and ethnically diverse backgrounds.

In 2023, St. Luke's impacted the Nashville community in the following ways:
- provided over 368,000 meals to people experiencing food insecurity through our Food Bank
- distributed over 3,900 hygiene items to our neighbors in need of basic items like toothpaste, toilet paper and more
- ensured 73 families remained in their homes and were connected to resources for financial empowerment, mental health and employment navigation
- distributed over 53,000 diapers to families to help keep their children safe and healthy
- delivered over 27,000 meals to seniors and disabled residents
