CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center is governed by an 19 voting member board of directors. The Board of Directors has the responsibility of establishing policy for and overseeing the operation of the organization and employs and supervises the executive director. Directors are elected for a period of three years. Board committees consist of an Executive, Fundraising, Awareness, Staff and Board Development, and Asset Management with additional ad-hoc committees added as necessary. Board members are strategically recruited to ensure board diversity, professionalism and representation of our services with a passion for our mission and cause. Board members represent survivors, elected officials, physicians, law enforcement, community partners, business and corporate professionals. Interested members go through an application process, interview and board vote/approval before being selected to serve on the board. |
