Howard's Experience: Our President and CEO, Howard Kittell has been with The Hermitage since November 2008. He has extensive experience in non-profit and government administration, historic preservation, and land conservation. For the 10 years prior to his position at The Hermitage, Kittell had been the Executive Director of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation in Virginia. In that capacity, Kittell oversaw the preservation of 10 Civil War battlefields, interpretive programs, and promoting heritage tourism. |
