Rachel's Experience: Rachel Freeman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who began her career at the center in 2001 as a young intern completing her Master's degree in Social Work. She worked as a therapist with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group therapy before assuming the role of Vice President of Programs, and now as President and CEO of The Sexual Assault Center. Rachel was a contributing author in the Handbook of Child Sexual Abuse: Identification, Assessment and Treatment, published in 2011, and she also worked as an adjunct professor for 6 years at the University Of Tennessee College Of Social Work. In 2015, she received the Visionary Voice award in Tennessee from the National Resource Center. Rachel received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. |
