CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

My Friend's House has several opportunities to address unmet service needs of at-risk youth and their families, especially from Williamson County. 1. Parental/family counseling with drug and alcohol education supports to prepare parents to better cope and deal more effectively with the behavior of their at-risk dependent. 2. Parental/family supervision for youth in DCS custody when parental/family visitation has been court-ordered. 3. My Friend's House residential may have the opportunity to transition its general residential program into a specialty program such as an Evaluation Center Alcohol and Drug Step-Down (post-treatment) residential setting, am emergency youth shelter for homeless or unruly youth unable to remain at home but those also not in need of DCS custody. 4. Currently My Friend's House Board of Directors is completing strategic planning to determine if and when one or more opportunities will be pursued as a residential service redirection/diversification.
