Programs
Description
GivingMatters.com hosts over 1,700 nonprofit profiles, with new profiles being initiated on a regular basis. For each nonprofit participant, the GivingMatters.com profile provides a platform to communicate their message to donors, to share their successes, to express their needs, and to provide transparent information to potential funders, volunteers, or clients. GivingMatters.com staff supports nonprofits by assisting in initiating and updating profiles, and by maintaining the GivingMatters.com NPO Homepage, which contains capacity-building resources. This database of charitable organizations, along with the GivingMatters.com e-newsletter which is distributed monthly to 4,000 nonprofit professionals, is a critical avenue of communication for and with our nonprofit community - allowing funders to announce grant opportunities, nonprofits to share best practices, or the GivingMatters.com staff to disseminate important information such as recent changes to IRS filing requirements. GivingMatters.com provides a free source of marketing and an additional online presence for nonprofits, some of which do not have websites of their own. Through our partnership with Kimbia, the program additionally provides a secure online donation tool which is free for all nonprofit participants.

GivingMatters.com assists donors in their charitable giving. While we do not rank nonprofits or provide opinions on individual organization, we can assist donors in finding NPOs which meet their charitable goals by running searches and reports based on geographical area, NTEE category, organizational budget, or population served. Through our partnerships with Guidestar and Kimbia, we host a secure online donation tool which allows donors to make gifts directly from a nonprofit's profile.
