Description
Although there is a Tennessee State Park located within one hour of every person in Tennessee, many Tennessee students have never visited one. The Tennessee State Parks Conservancy's Kids in Parks Program covers transportation, lunch and relevant project supplies for students to get out of a traditional classroom setting and take a field trip to one of the 56 state parks across Tennessee. Field trips give students the chance to learn about wildlife, the environment and Tennessee history through an immersive, hands-on experience.
