CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
Like many non-profits, the main problems we face are funding and sustainability for our programs. Knowing that the economy, in regards to charitable donations, is constantly in a downward slope we rely on ingenuity to aid us in our goal of becoming more self sustainable. The Family Foundation Fund (FFF) is expanding our revenue sources through our relationships with various entities of Middle Tennessee. We've recently established a CSA through our organic garden at Son Farm, to help underwrite the expenses of the farm and entrepreneurship training program. We also continue to host receptions to invite future partners to be introduced to FFF. We also utilize media and networking channels to improve our visibility in the Nashville community. Our annual 5k Run/Walk for Family and Fatherhood continues to grow each year. This year's event was expanded into the 'Fatherhood Games'. It was held on fathers day weekend and we raised nearly $120,000 for our programs. |
