Description
Through a partnership with POVA (Poverty in the Arts), Make Nashville hosted free workshops in frame-making and ceramics skills for members of POVA in 2019 and is currently scheduling similar workshops in 2020. Given that the majority of participating artists are painters, learning the skills involved in picture-framing is both useful and liberating. Also, since POVA facilities lack a ceramics studio, the opportunity for these artists to explore the plastic medium of clay allows them to extend and enhance their means for creative expression.
