Description
Our toll-free, 24-hour Helpline is available for anyone who has questions about the Safe Haven Law, Safe Haven locations, or other resources for pregnant women in crisis. Help is available in Spanish. The Helpline is not connected to a caller i.d. system and calls are not recorded in order to protect caller confidentiality. Services for the Helpline are donated by Rural/Metro/AMR.

Training and resources are provided for Safe Haven facilities specified as surrender locations by the Safe Haven Law (hospitals, birthing centers, community health clinics (health departments), outpatient, walk-in clinics, EMS facilities, fire stations (if staffed 24 hours), police stations (if staffed 24 hours.) Resources include: Printed materials (brochures, posters, pocket cards)Facility signsSample policies and proceduresMother's packetsStaff training regarding the Safe Haven Law (powerpoint and inservice)

Our organization has one paid staff person for the entire state of Tennessee. This limitation is challenging but we can always use volunteers to assist our efforts.
