CEO Statement
Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency (MCHRA) is privileged to serve Middle Tennesseans and we are proud of the now 49 years of service provided. Our team is on call 24/7 to respond to individual needs and assist in keeping people healthy, independent, and in some cases alive. Our vans transport clients 365 days a year, many to life sustaining dialysis treatments, seniors to doctor appointments, and disabled adults to places of employment. Traveling 4.5 million miles a year and with a 90% ADA-accessible fleet, trips to senior citizens and persons with disabilities comprise more than 80% of trips. Mid-Cumberland Meals-on-Wheels delivers a half million meals per year in large part by caring volunteers who provide much "more than just a meal" to those lonely seniors, they provide peace of mind just knowing someone will be checking on them. The Long-Term Care Ombudsman serves thousands of elderly individuals residing in long-term care facilities, helping resolve complaints so those who have no family might still have a voice enabling them to hold on to their dignity and basic fundamental rights. Across all our counties, MCHRA's awesome trailblazers, wonderful volunteers, and generous donors enable vulnerable people to have a better quality of life. Thank you for the role YOU play!
