Description
The Doing Good podcast shares volunteer stories - recognizing them for their efforts while also giving the agencies they represent free visibility and awareness. It ran into its first hiccups which are currently being straightened out. A new, conversational episode is featured every other week. It currently runs on an operating budget of about $150/year - which is the Zoom account. Otherwise, all efforts take full advantage of free tools and services offered online. Yet $2,500 would professionalize the podcast and make an enormous difference. It would purchase technology which takes statistics of listeners, allow it to be offered on paid platforms, better several "behind the scenes" technologies and more.

Description
Doing Good interviews and writes articles, blog posts, press releases and social media posts highlighting volunteers of other agencies. This gives each volunteer a well deserved recognition in ways he or she is most comfortable while also providing every agency the volunteer represents free visibility and awareness.

The program involves minimal costs - namely the Zoom account for interviews (budgeted in the podcast budget listed). Otherwise, Google Drive and Google Forms are used by the talented Doing Good volunteers who interview and write about each featured volunteer.

Description
Doing Good, the television show, is a weekly show which celebrates local volunteers. The budget for the show is $250,000 per episode, yet because its current activities are primarily online and through volunteer relationships, there is no current budget.

All aspects are gathered and finalized including its sizzle reel. Its current step is distribution - to sell the tv show to a network or streaming service.

Volunteer support is sought to provide guidance and support in its distribution.

Description
Doing Good produces YouTube videos celebrating a volunteer from participating agencies. Each agency is given the link to use at their leisure for as long as they'd like. (For years.) Examples of this usage include websites, newsletters, Staff and Volunteer Orientations, trade show displays, social media and electronic signatures. Each video is 1 to 1 1/2 minutes in length each. All are published on the DoingGoodTV YouTube Channel. 'Production Days' are when the videos are created. Local, industry professionals are hired, and partners include local universities with film students. Discounted rates, in-kind donations, volunteers and smart planning decrease the cost to $992 per video through Production Days versus what would otherwise cost each agency at least $12,000 for the same video.

CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

As a new non-profit, Doing Good serves any local agency with volunteers. It provides marketing and public relations tools, opportunities, and resources for these agencies - and they can spend more of their time and money on their mission rather than on much-needed Marketing and Public Relations efforts. Most of the services already produced by Doing Good - the YouTube videos, the website, Nashville's Volunteer of the Month, etc. - have been provided by volunteers, personal donations, and greatly discounted rates. To continue providing quality tools, opportunities, and resources, funding is necessary for all to continue. This is currently being addressed by holding new fundraiser events, participating in corporate community programs, obtaining sponsorships, submitting grant proposals, and developing a diversity of small revenue streams.
