B love so under-represented citizens in transition can: experience cultural, academic, interpersonal and athletic enrichment; obtain behavioral and occupational empowerment; gain access to resources and supportive services.
Background
B Love Foundation Inc. is a philanthropic organization that focuses on the interpersonal, occupational and tangible needs of under-represented citizens. The organization's objective is to empower disadvantaged individuals with the vital tools to manage family relations, cultivate employable citizens, and build ethical community leaders. B Love Foundation, Inc. promotes social, economic, and interpersonal development. The inception of the 'B Love' concept dates back to 2009. The organization was incorporated in February 2010. Life's circumstances inspired the creation of an organization that served as a refuge for protection, motivation, encouragement, development, empowerment, training, counseling, coaching and unconditional love. B Love Foundation, Inc. engages youth through enrichment programs that foster interpersonal, character and cultural development, offer athletic enrichment and education, instill life and team building skills and cultivate ethical decision makers among future leaders of tomorrow. Job readiness, behavioral and occupational training will be provided for teenagers, correctional facility residents and veterans in transition. BLFI will assist veterans with housing and clothing services as well as assistance with resources for transportation, mental health programs and substance abuse agencies.
Impact
B Love Foundation, Inc. (BLFI) will partner with Middle TN Operation Stand Down centers, the Dept. of Veteran Affairs, and TN Dept. of Corrections to provide occupational, behavioral and job readiness training for transitioning veterans and eligible under-represented citizens. Through partnerships and outreach within the educational system, BLFI will offer career development services for eligible teenagers and young adults in transition. Youth outreach programs will be conducted emphasizing life and team building skills, entrepreneurship and athletic enrichment. BLFI will partner with agencies that provide 'wrap around' supportive services for homeless, incarcerated and female veterans. There are over 2100 homeless veterans in Nashville with only 5% transitional housing opportunities available. BLFI will assist with locating clothing and shelter, providing access to transportation, mental health and substance abuse resources and other benefits for veterans in transition.

CEO Statement
There are so many people in need. The needs can reach from food and shelter to a smile, or a prayer. At B Love, we aspire to reach all of the goals listed above, while building positive relationships with everyone we come in contact with. Love is known to help fight stress, subside negative emotions, conflict physical and mental pain and heal. We believe that the people we help will be better served when they experience assistance through a kind heart. They will be served by people to want to help them, not people who are forced to because of a job or position. We believe that if while in transition they can find trust, hope and kindness through our staff and volunteers, that the transition will be that much smoother to get through.
Board Chair Statement
The expression of love comes without charge or a unit of measure but holds great value. By delivering expressions of love, B Love Foundation Inc. (BLFI) will cultivate a universal awareness of love. Love is the most powerful weapon known to man. There is no defense for true unconditional love. B Love Foundation Inc. aspires to invoke a mental vision within supporters that convicts the heart and mind causing a submission to love and all that love represents. True acceptance of the gift of love imparts an internal obligation to share spiritual love with others throughservice and community involvement. The organization's vision is 'Be love first!' In all that we do, we should do it with nothing but love. 1 Corinthians 16:14 reads...Let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 13:8 says...Love never fails. The is a universal need for love. BLFI will increase the awareness of love through outreach and giving. Ultimately, we will create an awareness of God through expressions from the 'fruit of the spirit'. Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer, Ernie Banks once stated 'You have to love the game itself and not love yourself in the game.' Life's sole purpose is centered around saving souls through service. Life is not all about personal accomplishments and monetary gain. Everyday, we are gracious given another 24 hours to make a positive impact on someone or help someone in need. Each day we are expected to wisely utilize the time that we have been blessed with because time is not guaranteed. BLFI enables unconditional love to be expressed to individuals in transition, through program outreach, community and supportive service, fundraising events and promotional merchandising. To love is the law!
