CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
In April 2004 the Nashville Humane Association Supporting Foundation was recognized by the IRS as a 501(c(3).This entity is separate from the Nashville Humane Association. The Foundation was organized to operate exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes as well as be operated exclusively for the benefit of the Nashville Humane Association. Although under the endowment section it lists approximately $5,500,000, these funds are the assets of the Nashville Humane Association Supporting Foundation. A conservative spending policy will ensure this entity will be able to provide a portion of the operating funds for the Nashville Humane Association in perpetuity. |
