CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
Thank you for reviewing our Profile. The EEOG responds to individual and community needs across the State of Tennessee and we are fortunate to have volunteers with a deep knowledge and passion for the communities where they live and work. The work of the EEOG impacts the communities it serves by changing the lives of the students that participate and engage in the various EEOG Programs offered throughout the year.We hope that you choose to collaborate with us as the EEOG continues to create positive pathways for low income students from challenging backgrounds to succeed. We execute this mission by exposing students to prominent individuals and experiences that will help change the circumstances that many of them currently face. EEOG's core focus is to invest in students by providing them with resources, information and experiences that seek to prevent high school students from dropping out. EEOG students will have a great opportunity to learn what it's like to be coached and inspired by top business leaders, entrepreneurs and government leaders that they can emulate. The EEOG leadership experience helps students look at the world differently. Suddenly nothing is out of reach. Whatever the destination, students experience new cultures, develop lifelong friendships, strengthen their foundation for personal and academic success as well as have fun! The EEOG is dedicated to assisting underserved students through our mentoring and leadership programs that focus on inspiring and empowering today's youth to better utilize the educational and economic opportunities available to them. The EEOG also provides financial support to high school students to promote aspiration, self-confidence and talent among students. 'Vision + Commitment = Success!' summarizes the EEOG's founding principle that exposure to the unknown can spark a burning desire for achievement in the lives of today's youth. |
