CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
| All board members of Friends of MACC serve on a volunteer basis. The same is true of committee members. A large percentage of volunteer board members originally started as volunteers at the shelter. As we have grown the organization we have been able to add board members who are interested in serving the community, but may not have previous experience as a volunteer at the shelter. This has helped to bring new perspectives and ideas to our work. As a board we continue to develop and outline opportunities to strengthen governance role, onboard new members and better prepare for board turnover and long term organizational sustainability. |
