| Samantha's Experience: Sam Singer is a ten-year veteran educator in Metro Nashville Public Schools, where she worked as a high school English Language Arts and English Language Learner teacher and currently supports educators as a Literacy and Instructional Coach. Sam also leads professional development around effective English Language Arts instruction, Project Based Learning, supporting English Language Learners, and more at the local, district, and state level. After beginning the first Seal of Biliteracy program in Tennessee in 2015, she worked and advocated for a statewide Seal of Biliteracy award program before beginning the Volunteer State Seal of Biliteracy as a nonprofit in 2018, to better support schools and districts as they begin award programs. | |
