Executive Director Mr. Alan Fey
E-mail Alan@makemusicnashville.org
Term Start January 2021
Alan's Experience: A freelance arts administrator and professional percussionist, Alan Fey has performed with the NSO at Carnegie Hall, in various chamber music settings, and given solo recitals and taught masterclasses across the southeast. He founded and briefly directed a chamber ensemble 2010-12, co-founded Make Music Nashville in 2014, and currently serves as the Operations Director of the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra. He has previously worked as an administrator with the GRAMMY-nominated ALIAS Chamber Ensemble and Portara Ensemble. In addition to being part of the planning and execution of every MMN event since it was founded, Fey produced and directed (with MMN) the Nashville premiere of John Luther Adams' Inuksuit, a 90-minute work for 9-99 percussionists at Nashville's Cumberland Park. His passion for sharing music with others, combined with his technical and organizational skills as an administrator will make him an excellent director of MMN.
