Mission

Our mission is to ignite the talents and ideas of children in an underserved populous area by encouraging and supporting their future.

We want to make a difference in the lives of youth of Nashville by providing them with the tools, resources and support they need in order to shape them into the leaders of tomorrow. When We Are Us is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering the youth of Nashville a chance to reach their fullest potential.

Background

In June 2020, a vision was given to make a difference in the lives of youth of Nashville by providing them with the tools, resources and support they need in order to shape them into the leaders of tomorrow. It was soon discovered that several others held the same passion and beliefs to help direct Nashville's youth. A resounding affirmation was concluded that this is a necessity that could not be overlooked. It was time for action, time to connect and reach out and give back. When We Are Us is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering the youth of Nashville a chance to reach their fullest potential.

Impact

The goals for the organization is to empower, encourage, support, and provide resources for kids in an underserved populous areas. Many kids in these areas are often forgotten about and are not given the same opportunities are their peers. They deserve to explore, experience, and encounter everything that will help them grow and thrive into their futures. These goals will be accomplished by engaging their imaginations, providing mental guidance with mental health providers, demonstrations of science experiments, introduce arts such as dance and music and other arts, presenting blue and white collar professions, entrepreneurship, and going on field trips both locally and regionally for them to see the past so they can see where they are going. We will also provide guidance for higher education, college tours, and provide scholarships that meet the programs requirements. Our impact on these communities will be tremendous in helping the kids prepare themselves to be the best version of themselves and giving back to their communities.

Needs

The needs for our organization include PPE, tables, chairs, hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine products, soap, lotion, wash cloths, etc.), nutritional food items, food containers, pantry items, partitions, flip charts, copy paper, pencils, markers, cleaning products, and tub containers,.
