Mission

Our mission is to educate and foster a love of learning. We firmly believe that if you encourage your children (and yourself) to learn new things, you will forever grow. There are unlimited possibilities in what we can achieve when we are not afraid to simply begin.

Background

The Spring Hill Enrichment Center (Spring Hill Enrichment TN) was founded on the basis of finding enrichment through education. Not simply basic core education but encouraging arts, music, technology, and all sciences. The vision for Spring Hill Enrichment TN is to encourage ALL ages to learn new skills, share existing ones, build community and "forever grow." When you are "green" you grow; when you are "ripe" you rot. Let's all enrich our lives with learning new art skills, learning to play an musical instrument, or even diving into plant science and using technology to enhance your daily life.

Impact

The Spring Hill Enrichment Center is the home of Spring Hill Enrichment TN. We have successfully launched our Performance on the Porch Music series, where native TN bands are invited to perform at the center. This has provided free live music to the community and allowed for local musicians and songwriters to have a venue to play their music. From Americana, to Rock and Roll, to Rhythm and Blues, the Spring Hill Enrichment Center has welcomed the community to expand their musical palette and connect through music. We have also successfully began adult art classes including watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media art as well as successfully offering a beginning robotics class for our future engineers. Our hands on super science classes have given our younger learners the opportunity to truly fall in love with science and explore many opportunities that the field of science offers. Goals for the current year include implementing addition programming for our life long learners, offering specific technology classes, and offering music lessons and group music classes at the center.

Needs

Our top 5 needs are: 1) Funding- we are actively seeking partnerships and donations for programs and supplies. 2) Grants- we need help with grant writing and applying for grants 3) Volunteers/Teachers- we would love to host those who are passionate our their skill or craft and want to share it with the community by teaching a class - music, art, science, technology, and all things in between. 4) Nonprofit Mentorship- We would love to have someone(s) come alongside and walk with us as we grow our nonprofit. 5) Funding- yes I meant add it twice- We truly need assistance in securing funding for growth and success Spring Hill Enrichment TN.

CEO Statement

My name is Brandi Alderson. This is my first time participating in the Big Payback. I firmly believe when you are called upon to serve, you must answer that call. This is why I began Spring Hill Enrichment TN. Change begins in your local community and then grows. My goal for this center is to unite and encourage life long learning. When we are willing to learn new things, it's hard to become set in your ways and not change. We must be open to learning and change in order to support each other in this community and "enrich' our lives. I love my community and I pray that the Spring Hill Enrichment Center will be a blessing to many.
