Description
Campus Life is an action-oriented program aimed at middle school and high school students. It allows young people to come together in weekly meetings and discuss life, and how to deal with today's obstacles and struggles in a positive, Christian way. Our staff and volunteers encourage them to achieve a 'balanced life' through the physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of life, as well as challenging them to think through their values, ethics, behaviors and beliefs.
We introduce the Life Story of Jesus Christ, emphasizing the aspect of relationship between Him and ourselves, and how we are to relate to each other. In a society where teens will have a better than 50% chance of having reduced support in these areas because of one-parent family, or adverse life experiences; Campus Life combines healthy relationships and programming to help students make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their schools for Christ.

Description
City Life is a more holistic ministry model that helps teens in urban communities through teaching life skills, building relationships with caring adult role model 'mentors', providing opportunities for positive group experiences, a chance to give back to their community through social involvement, and opportunities to discuss the 'life story' of Jesus Christ and its relevance to their lives. In areas where teens often experience minimal support economically, spiritually, and where family role models are often absent, City Life will combat the allure of the negative/crime lifestyle by providing positive peer support and opportunities to become productive citizens of the community.

Description
Our local Parent/Teen Life program, as part of national Youth for Christ Teen Parents program, started locally in 1993 to support young women between the ages of 13 and 20 who are pregnant, recently experienced a loss, or have a child while still in school. This program provides a support group for the teen who are referred to YFC by their school, local church, or social service agency. The young lady will receive assistance for physical needs, but also will receive encouragement, counsel, and instruction for their emotional, spiritual, social, and mental needs as well. In the support group where the Mom will benefit from positive peer relationships, the Teen Mom is often matched with a caring mentor as well.
The Program Coordinator and mentors will also discuss the 'life story' of Jesus Christ, and that He gives purpose and hope for both Mom and her baby. This helps them make good choices establishing a solid foundation in the lives of both Mom and baby.

Through the Juvenile Justice Ministry (JJM), YFC is working in three detention centers in Nashville which is making a significant difference in the students lives being served. We coach, counsel, advise, and love these individuals to let them know that they can have hope and a future outside of life of crime. We have small groups weekly with both boys and girls pods that discuss life skills, character choices and help guide them toward developing goals that will lead to success once they are released and we assist with post care as well.

CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

On the school campus, in the community or with the Church. (On the school campus) - Our Campus Life ministry provides a safe place of acceptance where students can experience healthy relationships and learn to make good choices, establishing a solid foundation for life while they positively impact their school. All of our character classes help students cope with the pressures and struggles in life and offer hope and encouragement to them and their families. (In the community) - Youth for Christ has a commitment to social involvement with its ministries such as Teen Parents, City Life, and Juvenile Justice. Trained adult mentors connect with students to help them establish good life skills as well as giving them an opportunity to give back to their community. (With the Church) - Youth for Christ is an inter-denominational ministry that intentionally works together with local churches, like-minded ministries, and social agencies to provide sustainable and fruitful ministry. Youth For Christ is affiliated with the Association of Churches. We are open to all youth, regardless of their beliefs, but have a heart for lost students which many other non profits do not reach. We see the hope and potential in every student.
