Description
C.T.I.P. was developed to provide treatment services to inmates at the Williamson County Jail. Sheriff Jeff Long and Programs Coordinator Steven Murff worked with Educare to bring evidence-based substance abuse treatment services to inmates. The program allows offenders to receive treatment while incarcerated and provides them with a continuum of services upon release. The program is equivalent to an intensive out-patient program facilitated over 8 weeks. Inmates receive Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), psychoeducation, and individual counseling. In addition, clients are linked with members of Alcoholics & Narcotics Anonymous upon release. This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
