Children between the ages of 2-1/2 and under the age of 18 are eligible to receive a wish if they have been diagnosed with a critical illness. There is no application or selection process-if a medical professional determines a child is eligible, our organization will grant that child a wish. Children can be referred by a medical professional, family member, or by the child.

| The simplicity of our mission is one of our organization's greatest strengths. Because we only grant wishes, we operate efficiently and strategically to maximize the impact of donor funds on the children whose lives we affect through granting wishes. Although we benefit greatly from our association with the national Make-A-Wish Foundation, we are responsible for raising funds locally and granting the wishes of children in Middle Tennessee. 100% of funds raised by our local chapter support children in our own community. Because more than 2/3 of our wishes involve travel, we have been particularly affected by increasing travel costs and can benefit particularly from donations of frequent flier miles or loyalty points. |
