Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world held on June 21st (summer solstice) and December 21st (winter solstice). Launched in 1982 in France as the Fete de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.

Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician - young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion - pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

Nashville is now a big part of this global event and this will be Arts Bellevue's second year of participation.

Short-term Success
LIVE FROM THE VUE began in April 2020 as a quick response and to pandemic safer-at-home guidelines. It's purpose was to use a virtual platform that could continue to connect the community and promote our struggling friends and neighbors. We use Facebook LIVE, YouTube Live and Zoom as our virtual platforms. Shows produced on Facebook Live and YouTube are recorded and archived for post-program viewing. Most of our shows have 600+ views and our very first video has over 5,600 views.
