Description
Our program provides classrooms with a fun online exercise tracking program where classrooms can earn prizes the more they exercise! These prizes are to help encourage physical activity, as well as give students supplies that they may not be able to afford. Through a five-step program, we give students equitable access to physical activity breaks throughout the school day.
1. Teachers will create a classroom account on the Move! Music City website.
2.Classrooms will perform 5-10 minutes of structured physical activity a day.
3.Teachers will log the minutes of classroom physical activity onto the website, and Timmy the Training Turtle will begin his running adventure around Nashville.
4.For every 5 minutes of physical activity, Timmy gets closer to the next exciting stop! Timmy travels around the city of Nashville and visits historical landmarks on the way.
5. When a classroom reaches a historical landmark, they learn about the landmark, and they earn a fun prize!
