A few testimonials:
* "We love the hands on experience and games that the families engaged in with their children." - Cambridge Early Learning Center
* "The sessions are always so valuable, and I'm so grateful to be able to offer this resource to our families." - Haywood Elementary
* "Knowing that a high quality activity was being delivered by someone with a vested interest in children's success takes a weight off the shoulders of those planning such events. It is hard to try to be everywhere all at once and the trust we have in you means one less place we have to be." - Casa Azafran Early Learning Center.

Short-term Success
After a workshop, parents should feel more confident in their ability to support their child's math learning at home as well as have a better understanding of how math is more than memorization and worksheets. Parents will have learned 2-3 specific strategies they can use at home and feel comfortable using them.

Upon leaving the workshop, the survey data will show that:
* 85% of parents will play the activities learned in the workshop at least once per week
*95% of parents report that the activities in the workshop were fun and engaging
* 85% of parents say they feel confident in their ability to play the activities from the workshop at home

School leaders will also feel confident that the workshop aligned with the needs of their school community.

Description
Even if parents know what to do to support their child's math learning, they may not have the necessary materials to engage in math activities at home. The goal of the Early Math Play Kits is to provide parents with the "must have" manipulatives so that their child can explore math ideas in a fun and engaging way. This program seeks to partner with schools and other community organizations to provide Early Math Play Kits to low income families.

Currently, we create Early Math Play Kits for the following manipulatives: playing cards, linking cubes, and dot cards.

Program Successes
Based on pre and post survey data, parents who received an Ealy Math Play Kit were more likely to engage with math activities at home. In the pre-survey, 79% of parents or caregivers did math activities with their child at least once per week, and 21% of parents of caregivers did math activities once per month or rarely. In the post-survey, 90% of parents or caregivers did math activities with their child at least once per week, and only 10% of parents or caregivers did math activities once per month or rarely. Additionally, on a scale from 1-5, the average rating for "My child has fun playing the activities" was 4.3.

Some parent quotes:
* "Kids don't even know that they are learning he thinks its just a game"
* "That the kit was a free tool, additional learning opportunity, engagement between me and my child"
* "I enjoy the variety of games and the eagerness my child displays to learn something difficult."
