Description
American Vietnam Veterans embark on a powerful and transformative trip to re-experience Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), relax on a luxury cruise in Ha Long Bay, concluding with a trip to the POW / MIA Accounting Agency in Hanoi. Activities include a trip to the US Consulate, former Saigon Embassy, a Street Food Tour, experiencing the Mekong Delta, Cu Chi Tunnels, a 3 day cruise in Ha Long Bay, kayaking through caves, the War Remnants Museum, "Hanoi Hilton" and Hanoi War Museum, and finally the POW / MIA Accounting Agency. Every adventure includes the guidance of educated, licensed mental health clinicians serving with us in a coaching capacity as mental wellness guides, as well as a seasoned logistical team and staff comprised of passionate veterans.

Description
Veterans embark on an epic experience onto Lake Powell via deck boat for 5 days and 4 nights. We will engage in watersports, canyoneering, mountaineering, camp outs, and relaxation on the lake. At night, we will enjoy bonfires and the camaraderie that follows.

Description
Veteran participants relax and rejuvenate at a beautiful resort property near UT, enjoying morning yoga, mindful meditation, and bonfires in the evenings. During the day, we hike the narrows while submerged in the beautiful Virgin River, experience snow capped red rock and Hoodoos in Bryce Canyon, and go canyoneering outside of Zion National Park.

Description
Veteran participants take on professionally guided Class 3 and 4 rapids, and enjoy hiking and rock climbing in either Ocoee, TN or Long Creek, SC. This trip includes activities such as White Water Rafting, Horseback Riding, a river float, Rock Climbing, a train ride, and more. Camaraderie is always emphasized on our adventures, and we will enjoy nightly discussion circles and camp fires.

Description
Our most intense offering by far. This is a 3-day 10,000' total elevation gain with possible summit push, requiring ice picks and crampons to complete, all while carrying a 50 lb pack. Our Veterans are on a six person rope team, gaining 1,000' per hour in elevation for 6 consecutive hours. They camp out on a glacier at 10,000'.

Description
We'll be taking OIF / OEF Combat Veterans to Marseilles, IL to visit the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial and Starved Rock State Park. It will be an emotional experience, as the names of their Brothers and Sisters are etched on those walls. We will submerge in nature via a scenic hike after the day time visit and process ongoing emotions and heaviness. We will then return to the Wall after dark to engage in a candlelight vigil to honor the names we've etched.

It will be led by a Nationally certified fitness trainer and licensed mental health coach to empower their bodies and minds. The experience includes white sand beach hikes, morning yoga and meditation, as well as challenging full body workouts and water aerobics. This is typically an emotional experience for our women veterans, as their hardships are unique and deeply relatable amongst each other.

Waypoint Vets is actively combating Post Traumatic Stress, Military Sexual Trauma, and our staggering veteran suicide rate.
