The I Belong Project™ uses high quality videography to give children in foster care a face and a voice. These videos serve as individual recruitment tools for children who are legally-free for adoption and are waiting for their forever family. Since launching the Tennessee chapter of the I Belong Project™ in June of 2016, together with The Department of Children's Services and Heart Gallery of Tennessee, we have created individualized videos for over 500 Tennessee children who are legally free for adoption and waiting for their forever family. To date, more than 55% of those children are now in their forever home! We partner with churches, businesses, restaurants, community groups and more to make a shoot day and experience for all children who attend. Portraits, decorated frames, a brand new outfit, catered meals, crafts, games and most importantly individual attention- focusing on their strengths, hopes and dreams.

While there are countless ways a church or faith community can become engaged and serve the population, ultimately, the two greatest needs are: more foster families and more support for those families.'Belong Sunday' This includes TKB working closely with the teaching pastor to ensure messaging is appropriate and accurate. TKB works to connect church with local child welfare to give exact needs and stats for this area. 'Next Steps Event' is designed for those who are considering becoming foster and adoptive families. TKB helps host a panel discussion, bringing in foster/adoptive families, social workers, children who were raised in a home that fostered, etc. Bringing together authentic stories, and information about next steps and certification. Wrap Around Ministry ensures that the whole congregation will support those who are able to open their homes and hearts to foster care with tangible, emotional, spiritual needs and support, giving everyone SOMETHING they can do.
