Program Successes
Testimonial from Susan (name changed): I came to Healing Housing in December of 2020 after becoming homeless. I knew I needed help for a long time before I actually surrendered. The services that helped me the most at Healing Housing was the year of therapy that I received and the savings program that was held for me until I graduated. It is hard to pinpoint a few things when I feel that every part of the program was vital to my recovery.

Today I work at Vanderbilt Center for Women's Health, Team Firefly. We help pregnant and post-partum women who have faced substance use disorder. I walk with these women and share my lived experience with them. I ENJOY coming into work every day and I feel like I am finally giving back. I have already received a promotion as Lead Recovery Coach. This is an honor and a testament to how far I have come. I was used to being a follower, now I am a leader.

My 3 kids are thriving! I am so proud of them. My life is more than I could have imagined or

Long-term Success
Since launching in 2017, HH has served more than 400 women, housed more than 200, and celebrated more than 75 graduations from our program. 100% of graduates have completed IOP and are employed by the end of their stay, and over 80% have remained drug and alcohol-free during their 6-month program. All residents report significant decreases in anxiety, PTSD, depression, and increased overall emotional, spiritual, dental, and physical wellness. 75% have started the process of regaining custody of their children and restoring family relationships. A built-in HH program provides residents an individual savings plan to use upon graduation for their move-out and next step expenses.

"The resources provided by Healing Housing set them apart from other sober living, but the defining factor is (the) team truly and deeply care about the women in their program. I have had clients who have been a part of this community describe the program as "you couldn't have put into words how amazing the w

CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments

Recovery is not an event, it is a process. By the time residents come to Healing Housing they have completed 30 days of residential treatment for substance and/or alcohol abuse. Having safe housing, recovery support, mentorship and accountability are all essential steps for positive reintegration back into our community. We are not stuck in the problem that exists, we are seated in the solution.
