CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
In order to thrive in the ever-changing landscape of the Nashville business community and national economy, our board is structured into four Strategic Action Teams: Board and Governance, Business Development, Programming and Digital Transformation. These teams develop and execute plans to ensure that a strong viable foundation is maintained as we continue to provide a high level of support to business owners and emerging entrepreneurs. The Board & Governance team has implemented a strategic plan to hold the board of directors accountable to governance procedures through policy revision that provide governance flexibility that more fully reflects the ebb and flow of our businesses and operational processes. The Nashville Business Incubation Center Programming Teams have the unique opportunity to narrow our focus to an under-served market of women, minorities, and veterans, who often face barriers in entrepreneurial endeavors. Veterans transitioning from active duty to civilian life can have the opportunity to capitalize on their military status through government contracting agencies. NBIC programs also encourage and support women who choose to enter traditionally male-dominated fields. NBIC does not duplicate services, choosing instead to partner with other agencies to give our clients fully enriched programs. These committees serve both as a channel to champion our mission among the community and stay connected with stakeholders. The Digital Transformation board team provides our transformative online presence which includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts. This team aims to create innovative strategies and business technical models to enable the organization to thrive in the ever-changing digital age. The Business Development team will continue their efforts in addressing community relations for underserved business groups who need to be well positioned in the communities they serve. As economic needs change the Business Development team will quickly address this transition through fundraising and campaign efforts that assist entrepreneurs through each phase of our development programs. The Business Development Team will encompass the management of Finance and Audit for stakeholders review & analysis of business performance. |
