CEO/Executive Director/Board Comments
One of our goals is to increase membership and sponsorship. We are currently working to unify the organization, and to involve more members in participating in ongoing activities and projects.Opportunities abound here on the Cumberland Plateau in Fairfield Glade to partner with and promote numerous other volunteer organizations. We've have an established on-going relationship with the Fairfield Glade Rotary Club and the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club. Both of these organizations are firmly established in the community with a very active membership. They are very skilled at fundraising and are now participating in the support of our activities. In fact, it was through a large grant obtained by our local Rotary from the Rotary Foundation that we were able to clear and pave our brand new Sculpture Trail. The Rotary grant was matched by a Guild member, and since completion of the paving, both the Ladies Club and Rotary Club have made donations to enhance and maintain the Trail. Through the hard work of Guild members and generous donations, we now have 6 sculptures and more are on the way!We will in the coming months and years seek to establish more partnerships with other organizations, both non-profits as well as for profit businesses in Cumberland County and as far-reaching as we are able to find the interest. |
