Term Start | July 2014 |
Terri's Experience: Terri Shultz is the Executive Director of Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity having previously served as the Director of Programs since 2007. She has a long time relationship with the agency, having begun as a volunteer and eventually having been chosen to lead the agency. As Executive Director, Ms. Shultz is responsible for developing and executing plans and programs to ensure the growth and expansion of the Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Terri works closely with the board, staff, and community to advance the Habitat for Humanity mission to eliminate poverty housing by building simple, decent, affordable homes. Ms. Shultz is a graduate of Smyrna High School and is a 2006 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science degree. Ms. Shultz serves others through Habitat and through her other affiliations. She is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Rutherford, a 2013 graduate of the Rutherford Cable Executive Leadership Program and is an active member of Junior League, Tennessee Affordable Housing Coalition, Rutherford County Home Builders Association and Rutherford Cable. Ms. Shultz is passionate about the families helped by Habitat and about its mission. Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit, non-denominational Christian housing ministry, seeks to eliminate substandard housing by building simple, decent, affordable houses alongside low-income, working families. She carries the message to the community that homes are built by RCHFH construction staff, partner families and community volunteers. RCHFH does not give homes away; they are sold to the family at no profit with zero-interest. Under her leadership, Rutherford County Area Habitat for humanity has opened a second ReStore located in Smyrna, TN in April of 2017. We anticipate completing our 150th house in this fiscal year. |
