To invest in today's youth, tomorrow's leaders, and the future leaders of our community by providing funds and resources not ordinarily provided to the Franklin County School System that inspire students to develop their talents and enrich their educational experiences.

Created by a group of civic leaders committed enriching the educational opportunties for both students and teachers in Franklin County Schools, Franklin County, TN.
Needs
The Franklin Count Educational Foundation is currently supporting a S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) initiative for the eleven schools located within the county. Grade levels range from pre-k through grade 12 with opportunities for the approximately 5500 students enrolled. During the academic year 2019-2020, there is a focus on providing equipment and materials for the three middle schools located in Franklin County. These materials and the equipment will be delivered on a rotating basis to the schools via the S.T.R.E.A.M. van or, in some cases, will be permanently housed at individual schools. The estimated total cost of the required materials will fall in the range of $18,000 to $25,000 with some funding available through school system grants. The Foundation is committed to enhancing the educational opportunities of these students and will provide financial support as available. Examples of the requested equipment and materials : Coding - Python, Spheros, Scratch, Ozobots, Makey-Makey, Design - 3-D printers, Sewing machines, Vinyl Cutter, AR/VR Goggles ,IPad pro with pencil and Keyboard, Macbook Pro Robotics - Legos, Drones, Rocketry model kits, Weather balloons Agriculture
